Solo Trip Origins
I took my first solo european trip on my 30th birthday. I originally planned to go to Hawaii or some other state for my birthday until I found out that flights to europe were almost the same price, maybe 100 bucks more. But at the time, the thought of the experience of going to europe overshadowed the cost difference. And I'm not rich by any means, but I like explaining to people that my "hobby" of traveling is similar to people who invest in collectible shoes, concerts, streetcar racing, etc. But it was while I was working as an MA that I decided to travel at least once a year from then on. It was because of a conversation between a patient and my doc, one night when I was closing the clinic. I remember the patient explaining how they had planned a lot of things to do after retiring but was never able to do them because their health began to decline instead, so it was a waste. I have never forgotten that. So now, I have taken inspiration from Rose, at the end of the movie Titanic, and have tried to make the most of life, as well as using photos to document what I do so I will remember my life even if I forget.
I hope this counts as a movie/sound file.
