hello Elden Ring

Release date: February 25, 2022

I don't know why I thought buying this game would be a good idea because of how hard I found Dark Souls 3. I really wish I had more time to play video games these days, because I've only logged about 15 hours in this game since release, compared to my friends who all have over 50. Nevertheless, it's incredible, HUGE, immersive, and I've enjoyed every second of it so far. The Souls games really made me rethink difficulty and video games. Elden Ring feels a bit easier and accessible compared to its predecessors, but still perfects its difficulty.

hello Lost Ark

Steam Release date: February 11, 2022

I've logged about 30 hours in this game so far and I'm pretty sure a third of those hours were just me sitting in the character customization screen. I've never really been a fan of MMO games, aside from MapleStory YEARS ago, but Lost Ark was a little enjoyable. A little too grindy in my opinion. There's tons of slick combat and stunning action sequences. However, without a convincing hook to keep you grinding, it's easy to lose interest. Playing this game felt more like a way to pass the time before Elden Ring came out, because I haven't touched it since then.
