Welcome!

Hi! I'm Alex, and this is my website. I'm a writer, artist, and graphic designer. I currently live in Bremerton, Washington with my three cats. I'm a massive Star Wars buff, and I am a fan of both Marvel and DC Comics. I also have a (possibly unhealthy) obsession with Microsoft Excel, as I have been known to make Excel sheets for everything from my budget to movie and TV rankings to unlockables in video games.

Writer

When I was in fourth grade, I wrote my first story - Karate Penguin and the Truth Squad versus Snake Vladeck - and read it to my class at the end of the school year. Two years later, while I was writing another Truth Squad story, I came up with the idea of Imagination King, and while I have yet to publish any of his stories, I am working hard on a full-length novel.

2D/3D Artist

The summer before tenth grade, I attended a summer camp called ID Tech, where I was introduced to 3D modeling and Autodesk Maya, and I'm not ashamed to say I fell in love. That school year, I took 3D modeling and animation as my elective class, and after graduation, I went to the Academy of Interactive Entertainment (AIE) to continue learning. It was also at AIE where I learned Photoshop and how to draw in 2D. And while I don't illustrate as much now, I still find it can be enjoyable at times.

Graphic Designer

During my time at AIE, I discovered that I really enjoyed designing logos after making one for my business cards. Following that, I created logos for Imagination King and all the members the Truth Squad, and then moved on to creating icons for several other school projects including Tic Tac Territories and Buoyancy. Admittedly, I haven't done much graphic design since leaving AIE, but I still enjoy it, and will occassionally dive back in.
